Horace Theophllgus Weldon, 83, of Burlington Care Center, died at 12:55 p.m. Thursday, Nov. 30, 1995 at the center. Bown June 23,1912, at Burlington, he was the son of Clarence and Virginia White Weldon. On
July 17, 1965, he married Charlotte A, Nelson in Burlington, Mr. Weldon was a production worker at the Iowa Army Ammunition Plant, He was a member of Sumner Lodge No. 3 AF&AM. He managed baseball
teams In Burlington and Keokuk and was a member of the University of Iowa I-Club and the Machinists Union. He was a member of St. John's Episcopal Church in Keokuk and attended St. John's AME Church In Burlington. Survivors include his wife; one daughter, Shirley Weldon Carter of Carson, Calif.; two stepdaughters, Shern Alston of Washington, D.C., and Carolyn Buckner of Burlington; four grandsons; two step grandsons; two brothers, Wesley Weldon of Moline, Ill., and Ramon Weldon of Keokuk; one sister, Patricia LaMarr of Rock Island, Ill.; and several nieces and nephews, He was preceded in death by his parents, two brothers and five sisters. Visitation will be from 7 to 8:30 p.m. Monday at Prugh's Chapel, with a Masonic service at 7:30 p.m. The funeral for Mr. Weldon will be 1;30 p.m. Tuesday at Prugh's Chapel, with the Rev.
Netter Page Mitchell officiating. Bunal Will be in Aspen Grove Cemetery. A memonal has been established for St. John's AME Church.
