Bertha Frances Bloomberg, 93, of Angleton, Texas, died Sept. 2, 2007, at Brazosport Memorial Hospital in Lake Jackson, Texas.
Born Nov. 18, 1913, in Olena, Ill., she was the daughter of Frank and Anna Rickles. On June 3, 1932, she married Charles W. Bloomberg. He preceded her in death.
Mrs. Bloomberg moved to Burlington in 1919. In 1993, she moved to Angleton. She was a member of St. John Lutheran Church in Angleton. She loved to garden and enjoyed sharing the vegetables she grew with her family and friends.
She also loved to fish and go with her grandson and two great-grandchildren to a nearby fishing hole. She always cleaned and cooked the fish.
Survivors include one daughter, Donna Tetlow of Lake Jackson; five grandchildren; and nine great-grandchildren.
Besides her husband, she was preceded in death by her son.
Memorial services for Mrs. Bloomberg were Sept. 7, 2007, at St. John Lutheran Church in Angleton. Burial was in Burlington.
A memorial has been established for St. John Lutheran Church. Palms Funeral home in Angleton was in charge of arrangements.
