Chester Asa Welch. 51. 425 May avenue. died Thursday at 7:30 p. m. in Burlington hospital after a short Illness. He was born at Pleasant Grove on Oct. 25. 1900, the son of William and Katherine Phillpot Welch. Dec. 30, 1921, he married the former Norma Conor at Mount Pleasant. He was of the Baptist faith. He, had been employed by the Aspen Grove cemetery association. Surviving are his widow; one son, Dallas, of Burlington:one daughter. Mrs. Wanda Wilson, Burlington; one brother, Howard Welch, Mount Pleasant; and two grandchildren.Services will be held Saturday at 2 p. m. from the Giles funeral home. The Rev. Sanford Rickert .pastor of the Woodlawn Baptist church, will officiate. Burial will be in Aspen Grove cemetery. The family will be at the funeral home Friday between 7 and 9 p.m.
