Charles “Bill” Bloomberg, 81, of 2019 River Drive, died at 7:20 am Friday, Aug. 24, 1990, at Burlington Medical Center.
Born July 13, 1909, in Burlington, he was the son of Charles J. and Hilma Swan Bloomberg. He married Bertha F. Rickles June 3, 1932, in Galesburg, Ill.
He was a member of the Bethan Lutheran Church, the Eagles Lodge, and the Moose Lodge. He was employed by the Burlington Basket Factory before retiring.
Surviving are his wife; one son Bill Bloomberg, Burlington; one daughter, Donna Tetlow, Lake Jackson, Texas; five grandchildren; and six great-grandchildren.
Friends may call after 9 am Sunday with family receiving friends from 2 to 4 pm at the Hass Funeral Home.
The graveside service for Mr. Bloomberg will be 11 am Monday at the Aspen Grove Cemetery with the Rev. Chris Hanson officiating.
A memorial has been established for the Bethany Lutheran church.
