David E. Weinreich, 68, of 702 Summer St., died 9:45 a.m. Wednesday, Oct. 21, 1987, at University Hospitals, Iowa City. Born Oct. 15, 1919, in Burnside, Ill., he was the son of Adam and Pauline Luttrell Weinreich. He was a U.S. Army veteran of World War II. He had worked at the Iowa Army Ammunition Plant, Middletown, TRW and General Electric. He was of the Methodist faith. Surviving are two children, Kenneth Weinreich, Burlington, and Merwyn Weinreich, Kansas City, Mo.; one sister, Dorothy Long, Burlington; five grandchildren; two great-grandchildren; and two aunts. Visitation will be from 7 to 8:30 p.m. Friday at Lunning Chapel. The service for Mr. Weinreich will be 10:30 a.m. Saturday at Lunning Chapel. Burial will be in Aspen Grove Cemetery. A memorial has been established for the Burlington paramedics.
