Frank Weigel, 85, 1905 Laurel, died June 1, at Mercy hospital after an illness of two months. He was born December 31, 1871, in Austria, the son of the late Mr. and Mrs. Frank Weigel.Nov. 6, 1901 he married the former Elizabeth Helmig in Burlington. Weigel operated a meat market on Oak street, later moving it to Jefferson. He was a member of the Zion Evangelical 7 Reformed church. Surviving are his wife; two daughters, Mrs. Roy Huppenberger and Mrs. PAul Lyons, Burlington; one son, Richard Weigel, Lansing, Mich.;two sisters, Mrs. Anna Dankenbring, Grand Ledge, Mich.; Mrs. Frank Meyer, Brighton, Ill.; six grandchildren and three great grandchildren. His parents, one son, one daughter, one sister, two brothers and two grandchildren are dead. Services will be at Giles Funeral home Tuesday at 2:30 p.m. Rev. John Schultz will officiate.
