Services will be held at the Burnett-Wallen funeral home at 4 o'clock Saturday afternoon for Mrs. Alice Wedertz, who died at Mercy hospital shortly before 3 p.m. Thursday after a short illness. The wife of August H. Wedertz, she resided at 223 Barrett street,. She was born in Plymouth, Ind., Aug. 8, 1870, lived in Omaha, Neb., 10 years, and also in Marshalltown, Ia., Florida and in Des Moines before coming here to make her residence 16 years ago. She and Mr. Wedertz were married in Omaha in 1890. Surviving besides her husband are two daughters, Miss Josephine Wedertz of Glendora, Cal., and Mrs. Geo. J. Donlan of Burlington; and one son, Leo J. Wedertz of this city. A daughter and grandchild preceded her in death. Active in several civic organizations until several years ago, Mrs. Wedertz was well known in the city. Mrs.Ottilia Koch of the Christian Science church, will be the reader at the services Saturday afternoon. Interment will be in Aspen Grove cemetery.
