Mrs. Edna Mae Webb, 98, of Burlington, died at 10:30 p.m. Tuesday, August 9, 2011, at Great River Medical Center-Klein Center. Born October 22, 1912, in Doniphan, Missouri, she was the daughter of John Valentine and Lavanda Ann Rook Crook. On November 1, 1929, she married Howard "Slim" C. Webb in Doniphan. He preceded her in death on April 8, 1996. Mrs. Webb was a homemaker. Mr. and Mrs. Webb had lived in Tucson, Arizona for 35 years, with Mrs. Webb returning to Burlington ten years ago to be near family. She was a member of Church of Christ and was an avid reader. Survivors include one son, Don (Sharon) Webb of West Burlington; and seven grandchildren. Her husband, son Ronald Webb, parents, two brothers, and one sister preceded her in death. The graveside funeral service and interment for Mrs. Webb will be 1:30 p.m. Tuesday, August 16th, in Aspen Grove Cemetery, with her grandson, Mark Webb, officiating. Per Mrs. Webb's request, there will be no formal visitation.
