Ethel Virginia Waugh, 78, of 1316 Perkins Ave., died Wednesday, Oct. 19, 1988, at Burlington Medical Center. Born Oct. 25, 1909 in Fairfield, she was the daughter of Stephen and Anes Supolla Kurka. She married William John Waugh April 8, 1931, in Kahoka, Mo. She was a homemaker and member of the First United Methodist Church. Surviving are her husband; two sons, James W. Waugh, Burlington, and John Waugh, Louisville, Ky.; one daughter, Mrs. Suzanne (Joe) Ridge, Burlington; one brother, Victor Kurka, Fairfield; one sister, Mary Libe, Washington; six grandchildren; and several nieces and nephews. Visitation will be from 7 to 8:30 p.m Friday at Lunning Chapel. The service for Mrs. Waugh will be 2 p.m. Saturday at Lunning Chapel with the Rev. Robert Dodder officiating. Burial will be in Aspen Grove Cemetery. A memorial has been established for the First United Methodist Church Endowment Fund.
