Ruth B. Waugh, 92, 1337 S. Leebrick St., Burlington, died at 9:13 a.m. Sunday, Aug. 3, 1997, at Burlington Medical Center. Born May 30, 1905, in Wever, she was the daughter of George and Virgie J. Sourwine Nutt. On June 25, 1924, she married Harry H. Waugh in Burlington. He died Aug. 3, 1988. Mrs. Waugh worked at Waugh Brothers Appliance for many years. She was a member of First United Methodist Church of Burlington. Survivors include one son, Harry G. Waugh of Amarillo, Texas; two daughters, Jeanne A. Pointer of Des Moines and Beverly J. Cray of Burlilngton; seven grandchildren and six great-grandchildren. Besides her husband, she was preceded in death by her parents, one sister and two grandchildren. The graveside funeral for Mrs. Waugh will be at 2 p.m. in Aspen Grove Cemetery, with the Rev. Dennis Tevis officiating. A memorial has been established for First United Methodist Church. Prugh Funeral Service is in charge of arrangements.
