Leslie E. Watts, 78, of Elm View Care Center, died Thursday, June 4, at University Hospitals, Iowa City. Born Jan. 3, 1909, in Ramsey, Ill., he was the son of James and Anna Spires Watts. On Feb. 13, 1939, at Canton, mo., he married Mae Purvis. He was a driver for Continental Trails, Burlington Baking Co., and Yellow Cab. Surviving are his wife; three sons, James, Jerry and Ron, all of Burlington; a brother, Warren, Decatur, Ill.; two sisters, Martha Maloy, Ramsey, Ill., and eight grandchildren and one great-grandchild. Family visitaion will be 7 to 8:30 p.m. tonight at Lunning Chapel. Services for Mr. Watts will be 1 p.m. Monday at Lunning Chapel with the Rev. Richard Gilbert officiating. Burial will be in Aspen Grove Cemetery.
