Mrs. Mary M. (Peggy) Watson, 72, of 933 Leebrick, died in Burlington Medical Center at 1:30 a.m. Wednesday, Oct. 9. She was born Oct. 12, 1912, to John and Elizabeth Carhoff Roxlau, in Burlington, where she married Marion Watson on Feb. 9, 1931; he died in September of 1981. Mrs. Watson was a member of First Congregational Church. Surviving: A son, Robert, Burlington; a daughter, Dolores (Doty) Hampton, Kansas City, Mo.; a brother, Arthur Roxlau, Phoenix, Ariz.; a sister, A. Katherine Allen, Monmouth, Ill.; four grandchildren; and three great-grandchildren. Funeral: 1:30 p.m. Saturday at the Lunning Chapel, the Rev. Thomas L. Mowbray; Aspen Grove Cemetery. An American Cancer Society memorial has been established.
