Esther T. Blodgett, 81, of 1131 Hagemann Ave., died at 11:10 am Tuesday, Sept. 3, 1991, at Burlington Medical Center’s Klein unit.
Born May 8, 1910, in Burlington, she was the daughter of John and Wilhelmina Gaiser Tieman. She married Albert Hellwig April 12, 1952. He died April 3, 1954. She later married Charles “Jack” Blodgett Nov. 6, 1954.
She had worked at Chittenden & Eastman Co., retiring with 42 years of service. She was a member of the First United Church of Christ.
Survivors include her husband; one son, Stephen Blodgett, Burlington; three stepdaughters, Joanne Lower, Monticello, Ind., Betty Schreiner, Burlington, and Linda Hingst, Iowa City; one stepson, Dale Blodgett, Johnston; 14 stepgrandchildren; and five step-great-grandchildren.
The family will receive friends from 7 to 8:30 tonight at Prugh’s chapel.
The service for Mrs. Blodgett will be 1:30 Thursday at Prugh’s Chapel with the Rev. Bryan Crousore officiating. Burial will be in Aspen Grove Cemetery.
A memorial has been established for Burlington Medical Center’s Klein unit.
