George H. Watson, 77, of 507 Vernon, West Burlington, died Friday, Oct. 7, at Burlington Medical Center. He was born July 29, 1906, in Van Buren County, to William and Lida Klise Watson. He married Edith Rings in Donnellson on May 10. 1933. Mr. Watson worked for the CB&Q railroad and the Iowa Army Ammunition Plant before retiring. He was a member of the First United Methodist Church, Des Moines Lodge #1 AF&M and the Ft. Madison Eagle Lodge #1287. Surviving: his wife; two daughters, Donna Richardson, Burlington Rt. 2, and Sandy Wilkins, Burlington; two sisters, June Doser, Long Beach, Cal., and Stella Taeger, West Burlington Rt. 4; three grandchildren; and two great-grand-children. Funeral: 10:30 a.m. Monday, Lunning Chapel, the Rev. Arthur Campney; Aspen Grove Cemetery.
