Dacia Nicole Shanae Watson, 5, of Burlington, died Tuesday, October 13, 1998, at University Hospitals in Iowa City. Born March 8, 1993, in Burlington, she was the daughter of Nathaniel Watson III and Lisa Ann Bandy. Dacia was a kindergarten student at Sunnyside Elementary School. Survivors include her parents; one sister, Masiah Watson of Burlington; two brothers, Nathaniel Watson IV and Isaiah Bandy, both of Burlington; her grandparents, Ramona and Douglas Vogt of Watertown, Minn., Mike and Patty Bandy of Burlington, and Nathaniel and Carolyn Watson of Burlington; her great- grandmother, May Findley of Burlington; and many aunts, uncles, and cousins. She was preceded in death by one great-grandmother and her great-grandfathers. Visitation will be from 8 a.m. to 5 p.m. Saturday and after 11 a.m. Sunday in Prugh's Chapel, where the family will receive friends from 7 to 9 p.m. Sunday. The funeral for Dacia Watson will be at 1 p.m. Monday at the First Presbyterian Church, with the Revs. Forrest and Sue Krummel officiating. Burial will be in Aspen Grove Cemetery. A memorial has been established.
