Joseph F. (sp) (Kochwasser) Waters, 55, a former Burlington resident who had been living in Sunland, Calif., died at St. Joseph's hospital in Burbank,, Calif., on Monday, March 22. He was born July 15, 1915 in Burlington, the son of Joseph T. and Ida. Schinzel Kochwasser. Mr. Kochwasser changed his name to Waters while serving in the Navy in World War II. He married Violet Klute on April 6, 1939 in Dubuque. He was a graduate of Burlington High school, Burlington Junior College and held a masters degree from the University of iowa, He was employed as the administrator of Exhibits and Displays for the Lockheed Aircraft Co. in Burbank. Surviving: his wife; one son, John, at home; two sisters, Mrs. Ralpj Butler and Mrs Ralph Dankwardt, both of Burlington; three nieces and one nephew. Funeral: 1:30 p.m. Saturday at Prugh's chapel, Rev. Donald V. Klohr, Aspen Grove cemetery.
