C. Dewey Wasson, 84, of 1006 Spring, died in Burlington Medical Center at 11:16 p.m. Monday, Jan. 17. He was born Oct. 31, 1898, in Des Moines County to Robert and Ella McNamee Wasson. He married Elsie Meier Sept. 26, 1935, in Burlington. He was a retired businessman. Surviving: The wife; six sons, C. Dewey, Jr., Tacoma, Wash., Daniel, West Memphis, Ark., Richard, Monmouth, Ill., Donald, New London, John, West Burlington, and Charles, Burlington; sister Nora Voris, West Burlington; 20 grandchildren; and eight great-grandchildren. Funeral: 10:30 a.m. Thursday at Lunning Chapel, the Rev. Dale A. Hempen, Aspen Grove Cemetery.
