Mr. Carl Ray Wasson, 88, of La Belle, Missouri and formerly of Burlington, died at 3:05 p.m. Wednesday, September 24, 2008, at La Belle Manor Nursing Home. Born February 2, 1920, in Burlington, he was the son of Glenn and Emma Frederica Ida Laue Wasson. On May 16, 1942, he married Mary Patricia Glass in Mt. Pleasant. She preceded him in death on December 24, 1998. Mr. Wasson was a Burlington High School graduate. He was a World War II Army veteran, serving from 1942 until 1945. He worked as an electrician at Iowa Army Ammunition Plant for 38 years. Survivors include one brother Orville Wasson of St. Louis, MO; a niece Crystal Kelly, and Nephew Daniel Wasson, both of Panama City, FL, several cousins including Aletha Earline Putney of Edina, MO. His wife, parents and one brother preceded him in death.
