Mrs. Maxine R. Warner, 91, of Burlington died at 12:45 a.m. Sunday, January 29, 2017, at Klein Center of Great River Medical Center.
Born December 1, 1925 in Pershing, Iowa, she was the daughter of Harry and Rosa (Martinache) Russell. On May 25, 1946 she married Frank H. Warner in Burlington. He preceded her in death on February 21, 1991.
Mrs. Warner was a homemaker and also worked in production at Sterzing's Potato Chip Co. for 10 years, Campbell Chain, Midwest Biscuit Co. and Central Soya.
Mrs. Warner was a member of Asbury United Methodist Church since 1946, United Methodist Women, Senior Citizens Center and the ladies auxiliaries of both the Eagles and Moose Lodges. She enjoyed dancing, crocheting, and was an avid Cub, Iowa Hawkeye and Burlington Bees fan.
Survivors include her daughter, Sharon Eloise Warner of Burlington; son, Russell Frank (Martha) Warner of Wentzville, Missouri; two granddaughters, Mindy Heuser of Wentzville and Amy Jo Mattoon of Burlington; two grandsons, Rusty Warner of Wentzville and Scott Carman of Burlington; 13 great grandchildren; one great-great grandson; and one sister, Eloise Beckman of Burlington.
She was preceded in death by her parents, husband, grandson, Dustin Ruggles, and two brothers, Harry and Harold.
The family will receive friends from 5 until 7 p.m. Tuesday, January 31st, at Lunning Chapel.
The funeral service for Mrs. Warner will be 10:30 a.m. Wednesday, February 1st, at Lunning Chapel with Pastor Kendall Adams officiating. Interment will be in Aspen Grove Cemetery.
A memorial has been established for Community Field.
