Obituary

Patricia Kay Ward, 50, of Cedar Rapids, formerly of Burlington, died Monday, May 8, 1989, at Mercy Medical Canter, Cedar Rapids. Born Aug. 29, 1938, in Danville, she was the daughter of Arthur and Dorothy Woodard Harmer. She married Wilbert E. Ward Dec. 6, 1960, in Kahoka, Mo. She worked for Collins Radio for 12 years and retired from the Norand Corp., Cedar Rapids. She was a member of the Trinity Lutheran Church, Cedar Rapids, Teamsters No. 238, International Brotherhood of Electrical Workers No 1362, Teamsters Credit Woman and Teamsters Retirees. Surviving are her husband; two daughters, Sandra Greenlee, Marion and Wilberta "Bertie" Ward, Cedar Rapids; one son Mark Ward, Marion; her mother, Burlington, one sister, Janet Tiemeier, Burlington; one brother, Joseph Harmer, Edmonds, Wash.; and four grandsons. Friends may call from 1 to 9 p.m. today and after 9 a.m. Wednesday at Turner Chapel West, Cedar Rapids. The service for Mrs. Ward will be 1 p.m. Wednesday at Turner Chapel West with the Rev. Roland Hischke officiating. Burial will be approximately 3:30 p.m. Wednesday in Aspen Grove Cemetery, Burlington. A memorial has been established.
