Gail True Mills Ward, 93, of the Burlington Care Center, formerly of 22 Western Pines, West Burlington, died at 9:17 a.m. Monday, March 9, 1992, at the care center. Born Jan.1, 1899, in Richland, she was the daughter of Harry C. and Carrie Cowquill Mills. She married Willard Ward April 9, 1919, in Fairfield. He died March 18, 1976. She was a homemaker and a life member of the First United Methodist church. Survivors include four daughters, Betty Smith and Arlene Stewart, both of West Burlington, and Marilyn Nebergall and Jeri Carter, both of Burlington; 12 grandchildren and 21 great-grandchildren. Besides her husband she was preceded in death by her parents and a son. Friends may call until 1 p.m. Wednesday at Lunning Chapel. The graveside committal service for Mrs. Ward will be 2 p.m. Wednesday at the Aspen Grove Cemetery with the Rev. Robert Dodder officiating. A memorial has been established for the American Heart Association.
