Thelma Florence Ward, 77, of 715 Shoquoquon Drive, formerly of 2106 S. Central St., died at 1:15 p.m. Tuesday, July 29, 1997, at Burlington Medical Center. Born March 19, 1920, at LaBelle, Mo., she was the daughter of Floyd and Zenia Benner. She married Claude Frank Ward Dec. 24, 1939 at New London, Mo. He died Oct. 17, 1992. Mrs. Ward was a homemaker. Survivors include one son, Jim Ward of Missouri; three grandchildren; and several nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by her husband, her parents, five brothers and two sisters. Friends may call after 8 a.m. today, with the family receiving friends from 6 to 7:30 p.m. at Hass Funeral Home. The graveside committal service for Mrs. Ward will be at 10 a.m. Friday at Aspen Grove Cemetery with the Rev. Tyrone C. Henderson officiating. A memorial has been established.
