Claude Frank Ward, 77, of 2106 S. Central St., Burlington, died Saturday, Oct. 17, 1992, at Burlington Medical Center. Born June 12, 1915, in Hannibal, Mo., he was the son of Thomas and Margaret Ward. On Dec. 24, 1939 he married Thelma Florence Benner at New London, Mo. Mr. Ward worked as a truck driver for H&O Truck Line for more than 40 years before retiring in 1977. He was an Army veteran of World War II. Survivors include his wife; a son, James F. Ward of Burlington; five grandchildren; a brother, James Ward of Hannibal, Mo.; a sister, Martha Ward of Quincy, ill.; a niece, and several nephews. He was preceded in death by his parents one sister and one brother. An open visitation will be from 9 a.m. until 8: 30 p.m. Monday at Hass Funeral Home. There will be no formal family visitation. The funeral for Mr. Ward will be at 10 a.m. Tuesday at Hass Funeral home with the Rev. Greg Donaldson officiating. Burial will be in Aspen Grove.
