Mr. Fred Walter, 74, formerly of Burlington died Thursday night at Mercy hospital in Davenport. Survivors include two sisters-in-law, Mrs. Julia Schmidt, King's Daughters home, 628 S. Leebrick; Mrs. Hattie Hugg, 2004 S. 12th; and a nephew, Hugh Walter, 425 S. Garfield; a son John, Davenport; and other nieces and nephews. His wife, the former Delia Schmidt, died two years ago. Services will be at the Elliott-Lunning chapel.
