James Anthony Turner Wallace, 43, of 116 S. Gertrude St., Burlington, died at 6:25 a.m. Thursday, March 23, 1995, at Burlington Medical Center. Born Oct. 4, 1951, in Marion, Ind., he was the son of Henry Turner and Goldie Eva Gordon Wallace. Mr. Wallace was a truck driver for Jet Company and United Carthage, He also worked at Hope Haven. He was a member of St. John's AME church. Survivors include his former wife, Vickie Wallace, of Burlington; two sons. Parrish A. Wallace of Burlington and Jonathan R. Polger of Marion, Ind.; two daughters, Twila R. Wallace of Burlington and Tabitha M. Polger of Marion, Ind.; his father, Henry T. Wallace of Burlington; one sister, Vickie M. Mallory of Burlington; two brothers, Loren L. Wallace of Burlington and Henry T. Wallace of Kalamazoo, Mich.; one grandchild; nieces, nephews and many other family members. He was preceded in death by his mother and two sisters. The family will receive friends from 7 to 8 p.m. Monday in Prughs Chapel. The funeral for Mr. Wallace will be at 1:30 p.m. Tuesday in Prugh's Chapel with the Rev. J.A.Twillie officiating. Burial will be in Aspen Grove Cemetery.
