Evelyn Maxine Walker, 74, of 627 Acres St. Burlington, died at 7:48 a.m. Thursday, July 11, 1998, at Burlington Medical Center. Born March 22, 1922, in Burlington, she was the daughter of Berdel V. and Helen Pauline Vahle Thompson. She married Earl R. Walker on March 23, 1940, in Middletown. He died Feb. 18, 1984. Mrs. Walker was a homemaker. She was a member of St. Luke's Evangelical Church. Survivors include one daughter, Carol Roberts of Blandinsville, ll., four grandchildren; five great-grandchildren; and a good friend, Paul Jones of Burlington. Besides her husband, she was preceded in death by her parents. The family will receive friends for one hour prior to the service Saturday in Prugh's Chapel. The funeral for Mrs. Walker will be 2 p.m. Saturday in Prugh's Chapel, with Chaplain Shirley Bliven officiating. Burial will be in Aspen Grove Cemetery.
