Obituary
Ira A. "Bud" Waldmeier, 77, of 2910 Madison Ave., died Wednesday, Sept. 13, 1989, at Burlington Medical Center's Klein Unit. Born July 29, 1912, in Green Valley, Ill., he was the son of John C. and Hattie Lowrey Waldmeier. He was employed as a painter and plasterer with the Burlington School System. He was a member of the Grace United Methodist Church, the American Legion and the Eagles Lodge. He was a U.S. Army veteran of World War II. Surviving are one son, Richard Waldmeier, Littleton, Colo.; one brother, Donald Waldmeier, Burlington; two sisters, Mrs. Erma (Frank) O'Neil, Burlington, and Mrs. Esther (Robert) Frary, Salem; and several nieces and nephews. Visitation will be from 7 to 8:30 p.m. today at Lunning Chapel. The service for Mr. Waldmeier will be at 10:30 a.m. Friday at Lunning Chapel with the Rev. Bryan Crousore officiating. Burial will be in Aspen Grove Cemetery. Memorials have been established for the Grace United Methodist Church and the Alzheimer's Association.
