Lawrence H. Walden, 1009 S. 12th St., died Saturday, Aug.19, 1989, at University of Iowa Hospitals, Iowa City. Born Oct. 23, 1895, in Wapello County, he was the son of August A. and Mathilda S. Carlson Walden. He married Anna W. Hult May 9, 1923, in Lockridge. She preceded him in death. He was retired from the C.B.&Q. railroad and was a member of the Brotherhood of R.R. Trainmen and the United Trainmen Union. Surviving are two daughters, Eleanor Walden and Lorraine Walden will be at 2 p.m. Wednesday at Aspen Grove Cemetery, with the Rev. Charles Stevens officiating.
