Gene H. Wahl, 80, of McKinney, Texas, died at 3:56 p.m. Monday, Dec.4, 2000, at Terrell Medical Center in Terrell, Texas. Born Feb. 18, 1920, in Chicago, she was the daughter of Cecil and Isabel A. Linklater Haviland. She married Milton L. Wahl on June 18, 1955, in Nashua. He died May 26, 2000. Mrs. Wahl was a licensed practical nurse. She was a member of the Episcopal Church, and enjoyed arts and crafts, painting, and ceramics. Survivors include one son, Michael R. Wahl of Mesquite, Texas; two grandchildren; one sister, Hazel Neff of East Moline, Ill.; and many nieces and nephews. Besides her husband, she was preceded in death by her parents. Friends may call from 8 a.m. to 12:30 p.m. today at the Hass Funeral Home. There will be no family visitation. The graveside committal service for Mrs. Wahl will be at 1 p.m. today in Aspen Grove Cemetery, with the Rev. Travor Davis officiating. A memorial has been established.
