Hazel Minnetta Wagner, 79, of Burlington, died Sunday, April 18, 1999, at Burlington Medical Center. Born July 22, 1919, in Roseville, Ill., she was the daughter of William and Lucinda Brooks Shepherd. On September 2, 1936, she married Floyd D. Allen. He preceded her in death. She later married Hilbert Wagner. He also preceded her in death. Mrs. Wagner lived in Burlington since 1942. She was a volunteer at the information desk of the Des Moines County Courthouse in Burlington. She was a member of First Christian Church of Burlington. Survivors include four sons, K. E. "Doak" Allen and Fred Allen, both of West Burlington, Daniel Allen of LaMotte, and Delbert Wagner of Kahoka, Mo.; two daughters, Helen Mondorf of LaHarpe, Ill., and Leona Skelton of Burlington; two stepsons, Lee Hughes of Texas, and Richard Wagner of Colorado; 15 grandchildren; 12 great-grandchildren; two great-great-grandchildren; four step-grandchildren; and three step-great-grandchildren. Besides both husbands, she was preceded in death by her parents, one brother, and one son. Visitation will begin after 1 p.m. today in Sheagren Funeral Home, where the family will receive friends from 7 to 8 p.m. The funeral for Mrs. Wagner will be at 10:30 a.m. Wednesday in Sheagren Funeral Home, with the Rev. David Nash officiating. Burial will be in Aspen Grove Cemetery. A memorial has been established.
