Bert Irvin Wagner, 84, of 918 W. Mount Pleasant St., died Tuesday, Jan. 17, 1989, at Burlington Medical Center. Born June 7, 1904, in Dodgeville, he was the son of Fred and Frona Houston Wagner. He married Alma West April 27, 1941, in Kahoka, Mo. He was employed with the Iowa Army Ammunition Plant, Middletown, and J.I. Case Co. He was of the Methodist faith and was a member of the Des Moines County Saddle Club and the Travelin' Tigers Camping Club. Surviving are his wife; one son, Harold Wagner, Burlington; one sister, Mrs. Betty (harry) Mesecher, Saginaw, Mich.; one brother, Hilbert "Lucky" Wagner, Burlington; five grandchildren; and 13 great-grandchildren. Visitation will be from 7 to 9 p.m. Thursday at Lunning Chapel. The service for Mr. Wagner will be 2 p.m. Friday at Lunning Chapel. Burial will be in Aspen Grove Cemetery.
