Mrs. Marjorie Juanita Wagler, 90, of Burlington died at 10:40 a.m. Wednesday, July 5, 2017, at Great River Klein Center in West Burlington.
Born June 4, 1927 in Valmeyer, Illinois, she was the daughter of Clair and Lula (Smith) Keever. On March 12, 1949 she married William "Bill" Wagler in Burlington.
Marjorie attended Quincy High School. She worked in production for IRC & TRW. She then worked for Burlington Medical Center and Great River Medical Center Dietary Departments, retiring in 2001, after twenty-five years of service, at age seventy-seven.
She regularly attended New Life Family Church. She enjoyed walks in the park, relaxing in her three seasons' porch, coffee at McDonald's, shopping and especially garage sales. She loved her cats Niki Sue and Jeremy, but especially enjoyed spending time with her husband and family.
Survivors include her husband Bill of Burlington; two sons, Randall Wagler and Kevin Wagler, both of Burlington; two grandchildren, Brooke Champagne of Springfield, Illinois and Aaron Brunsell of Burlington; one great-granddaughter Summer Champagne; one brother, Michael Keever of Cedar Rapids, Iowa; and two nieces, Linda (Bill) Kruzan of Jacksonville, Illinois and Judy Landess of La Feria, Texas.
She was preceded in death by her parents, one son Ronald, one sister Marie, and one brother Ray.
The funeral service for Marjorie will be 10:00 a.m., Monday, July 10 at Lunning Chapel with Pastor Richard Dutzer officiating. Interment will be in Aspen Grove Cemetery, Burlington. Friends may call after 2:00 p.m. on Sunday, July 9 at the funeral home. Family will receive friends 4:00-6:00 p.m.
Memorials have been established for Des Moines County Humane Society and New Life Family Church.
