Linda J. Blessing, 39, of 11 S. Melrose Court, died at 5:35 pm Saturday, April 9, 1988, at University Hospitals, Iowa City, following a stroke.
Born June 2, 1948, in Waynesville, Mo., she was the daughter of Nicholas and Irene Rickerson Baasch. She married Frank Blessing at Waynesville, Mo.
She was a homemaker and attended the Salvation Army.
Surviving is her husband; two daughters, Tammy Blessing and Sandy Blessing, both at home; her grandmother, Nellie York, Waynesville, Mo.; and six sisters, Dorothy Beighley, Dover, Del., Kathy Baasch, and Mary Masters, both of Waynesville, Mo., Carol Norfleet, Mesa, Ariz., Patricia Bradley, Stoutland, Mo., and Kathleen Watson, Camdenton, Mo.
The family will receive friends from 7 to 8:30 pm Tuesday at Lunning Chapel.
The service for Mrs. Blessing will be 2 pm Wednesday at Lunning Chapel wil Capt. Eugene Sharp officiating. Burial will be in Aspen Grove Cemetery.
