Darlene Mae Blauer, 69, of 1015 S. 13th St., Burlington died at 3:30 pm Monday, Oct. 6, 1997, at West Point Care Center.
Born March 3, 1928, in Creston, she was the daughter of Mathew and Goldie May Clark Schoch. On Nov. 27, 1951, she married Lloyd Albert Blauer in Hardy, Ark. He died June 8, 1984.
Mrs. Blauer was a homemaker and a waitress at Woolworth Department Store in Burlington. She was a member of the Open Bible Church of Burlington.
Survivors include two sons, Larry Blauer of Burlington and David Blauer of Gulfport, Ill.; three grandchildren; three brothers, Newell Schoch of Washington, Carl Schoch of Des Moines, and Eugene Schoch of Clovis, Calif.; one sister, Katherine Reed of rural New London; nieces and nephews.
Besides her husband, she was preceded in death by her parents.
Friends may call after 11 am today at Prugh’s Chapel, where the family will receive friends from 6 to 7:30 pm.
The funeral for Mrs. Blauer will be at 10 am Thursday at Prugh’s Chapel, with the Rev. Bill Hornback officiating. Burial will be in Aspen Grove Cemetery.
A memorial has been established to American Cancer Society.
