Adah Boese Blake, 84, of Irish Ridge Road, Mt. Pleasant, died at 3:05 pm Saturday, Aug. 5, 1989, at the Mapleleaf Health Care Center, Mount Pleasant.
Born Aug. 20, 1904, in Henry County, she was the daughter of John and Magdalena Unruh Boese. She married Rodney Mathias Black April 13, 1935, in Kahoka, Mo. He died Jan. 11, 1977.
She was employed as an agent with the Farmers Mutual, Farmers Casualty, and Western Mutual Insurance companies before retiring. She was a member of the Faith Lutheran Church.
Surviving are several nieces and nephews.
Visitation will be until time of service at Prugh’s Chapel.
A graveside commital service for Mrs. Blake will be at 11 am Thursday in Aspen Grove Cemetery with the Rev. Durk Peterson officiating.
