Richard Joe (Rick) Troutman, 22, U.S. navy, was killed in a motorcycle truck accident at St. Mary's Ga., at 2:15 p.m. Friday, Aug. 13. He was born May 27, 1960, at Burlington, to Richard and Frances Patton Troutman. He was a graduate of Burlington High School. Mr. Troutman was a member of the West Burlington Christian Church. Surviving: his parents, Burlington Rt. 3; a brother, Wade, at home; two sisters, Gwen mcClure, Wever, and Penny Troutman, West Burlington; American Field Service brother and sister Javier Martinez, Monterray, Mexico, and Lisbeth Bach Jensen, Haderslev, denmark; and grandparents Mr. and Mrs. Joe Troutman and Mr. and Mrs. Joe Patton, all of Wever. Funeral: 10 a.m. Wednesday, Lunning Chapel, the Rev. Michael McElyae, Aspen Grove Cemetery with military rites. A memorial has been established for the West Burlington Christian Church.
