A'Zayla Faith Hope Kessee, infant daughter of Aiyanna Timmons and Charles Kessee was born on September 6, 2013. She died four days later on Tuesday, September 10, 2013 at the University of Iowa Hospital, Iowa City, Iowa.
She is survived by her parents, Aiyanna Timmons and Charles Kessee of Burlington, Iowa; 3 siblings, Charles D. Kessee, Samarion Q. Kessee and Amirah Kessee; maternal grandparents, Lisa Wilkins and Ricky A. Timmons; paternal grandparents, Cary L. Woodard and Charles E. Kessee; maternal great-grandparents, Flora Wilkins; Bobby and Dorothy Timmons; paternal great-grandparents, Gary Dean Woodard, Joyce Woodard, Charles A. Kessee and Earnestine W. Kessee; several aunts, uncles, great-aunts, great-uncles and cousins.
She was preceded in death by her great-grandfather, L.T. Wilkins; great-great-grandparents, Blanche Scott, Willie Mae Pearson, Minnie Bell Knighten, Louise Pettis, Mayfield Timmons and Pearl Timmons.
Funeral services for A'Zayla Faith Hope Kessee will be held on Tuesday, September 17, 2013 at 11:00 a.m. at Prugh’s Chapel. Rev. Freddie Starling will officiate. Interment will be in Aspen Grove Cemetery. No formal visitation is planned. A memorial has been established in her name
