Algot E. Bjork, 74, of 402 Leffler Street, West Burlington, died Wednesday morning, Oct. 4, in Jacksonville, Ill.
A retired millwright, Mr. Bjork was born May 18, 1898, in Sweden. He married Madeline Anderson on June 4, 1923.
Mr. Bjork was a member of Messiah Lutheran Church and Des Moines Lodge No. 1, AF&AM; Scottish Rite; Kaaba Temple; Southeast Iowa Shrine Club, and FOE.
Surviving: The wife; son, Kenneth Bjork, Midland, Mich.; daughter Mrs. Kathryn Wild, Jacksonville, and sister Mrs. Freida McCallister of West Burlington.
Funeral: Lunning Chapel at 1:30 Saturday; Rev. Clyde Norrgard; Aspen Grove cemetery. A Masonic service will be held at the chapel at 7:30 pm Friday.
