Margaret E. Bixby, 79, of 114 Harrison Ave., died Thursday, June 25, 1998, at Burlington Medical Center.
Born July 14, 1918, at Paris, Mo., she was the daughter of Wilbur and Leone Heatman Long. She married Oliver Bixby June 15, 1938, at Moberly, Mo.
She was a member of Great River Ramblers No. 146, Golden Oldies, and First Christian Church. She was a former clerk at the Niesner Store.
Survivors include her husband; one daughter Shirley Ballinger of Burlington; two sisters, Betty Lou Hershey of Littleton, Colo., and Vila Richards of Shelbina, Mo.; two granddaughters; and two great-grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by her parents.
There will be no visitation.
A memorial service for Mrs. Bixby will be at 11:30 am Tuesday at the First Christian Church with the Rev. Taverce Harrison officiating. Private burial will be in Aspen Grove Cemetery.
A memorial has been established for the First Christian Church.
