Mary Anne Thye, 73, of West Burlington, Iowa, died at 10:10 a.m. Wednesday, January 17, 2007, at University of Iowa Hospitals and Clinics in Iowa City. Born March 31, 1923 in Aledo, Illinois, she was the daughter of Dale and Ruby Ashley Hyett. On April 4, 1954 she married Richard Thye at Oak Street Baptist Church in Burlington. He died October 6, 1982. Mrs. Thye was of the Methodist faith. She worked at various positions for Wal-mart. Survivors include two daughters, Cathy (Richard) Rappenecker of Springfield, Illinois and Diane (Roger) Pinkert of Red Oak, Texas; five grandchildren, Elizabeth and Ben Rappenecker of Springfield and Travis, Tyler, and Kailee Pinkert of Red Oak; and four sisters, Eloise (Dick) Robinson of Burlington, Jeanne Hyett of Mountain View, California, June Boldt of Moline, Illinois, and Patti (Gary) Hastings of Redwood City, California. Her husband and parents preceded her in death.
