Delphia Burns Wagler, 92, of West Burlington, Iowa died 10:00 a.m. Tuesday, September 10, 2019 at the Great River Klein Center in West Burlington.
Born May 17, 1927 in Atchison, Kansas she was the daughter of James Henry Sr. and Mary Loduska (Koontz) Steckel. She married Marvin Louis Wagler on June 23, 1946 in Burlington, Iowa. He died October 15, 1999.
Delphia was a homemaker and owner operator of Mar-Del Ceramics.
She was of the Protestant faith.
She enjoyed sewing, crocheting and traveling with her husband. She loved her time spent with family.
Survivors include her three children; Stephan Wagler of Camarillo, California, Judy Kingyon of Burlington and Peggy (Mike) Rempe of West Burlington; five grandchildren, Jason (Gunay) Maher of Chicago, IL, Nathan (Harley) Maher of Des Moines, IA, Allison ( Jason) Strandberg of Burlington, Christina (Timothy) Behne of Eldora, IA, and Johnny (Brenna) Kingyon of Iowa City, IA; five great grandchildren, Ian and Jack Strandberg, Daphne Behne, Selin Ismayilova Maher, and Keagan Maher; and one sister, Mary Jane Fenner of Eau Claire, WI.
She was preceded in death by her parents; husband; one brother, James Henry Steckel Jr.; and one sister, Adeline Senn.
The memorial funeral service for Mrs. Wagler will be 2:00 p.m. Friday, September 13th at Lunning Chapel. Inurnment will be in Aspen Grove Cemetery. The family will receive friends for one hour prior to the service.
A memorial has been established for the Special Needs Foundation.
