Ned Russell passed away on August 30, 2020, at Oakview Nursing Home in Burlington, Iowa.
Ned was born February 2, 1930, to Elmer D. and Hazellan Burgess Russell in Mount Pleasant, Iowa.
He was a graduate of Mt. Pleasant High School in 1947, and Iowa Wesleyan College in 1951. Ned married his true love, Carolyn Noelke, on December 26, 1951, in Burlington Iowa.
He served in the United States Army band during the Korean War between September of 1951-1953. Upon his return, Ned spent his life as an independent sales representative. His greatest pride and joy in life was his family.
Ned was preceded in death by his son Scott Russell, and is survived by his wife Carolyn, three other children, Craig Russell of Norman Oklahoma, Tod Russell of Allen Texas, and Laura Russell McGovern of Chicago Illinois, and nine grandchildren.
A private family service will be held.
