Rebecca Ann Parcell, 65, of West Burlington, died Saturday, September 16, 2023, at the University of Iowa Hospitals and Clinics in Iowa City.
Born March 4, 1958, in Macomb, Illinois, she was the daughter of Charles William and Charylene (Parks) Dixon. She married John Parcell on March 14, 2008.
Rebecca worked as a CNA and Medical Aide for many years.
She attended Burlington First Assembly of God.
She was a wonderful woman who always looked out for others, above herself. She was a loving wife, mother, and grandmother.
Survivors include her husband, John Parcell of West Burlington; four children, Sonia (Tim) York of Burlington, Tonia Lynn (De) Washington of Madison, Tennessee, Scott Paul Simpson of Montezuma, Iowa and Robert (Debbie) Herbert of Abington, Virginia; nine grandchildren; seven great grandchildren and two brothers, David Charles (Joann) Dixon of Galesburg, Illinois and Duane Eugene (Dana) Dixon of Sedalia, Missouri.
She was preceded in death by her parents.
A private family inurnment will be held on Friday, September 22nd at Aspen Grove Cemetery. According to her wishes, cremation has been entrusted to the care of Lunning Chapel.
