Deanna Burns, 76, of Oklahoma City, died at 10:22 PM Friday, February 19, 2021, at the University of Oklahoma Medical Center.

Born November 11, 1944, in Tuscaloosa, AL, she was the daughter of Thermon Vail and Ruby Hawthorne Bonner. She married Marvin Toy Tipton and they had two children together. They later divorced.

Deanna worked as a beautician for many years and owned and managed rental properties.

She was of Methodist faith and was a member of Grace United Methodist Church. Deanna loved horses and enjoyed attending races that her horses were featured in. She also volunteered with a group of ladies putting on dances at local nursing homes.

Survivors include her daughter, Debra "Debbie" Ann Tipton of Old Bridge, NJ; son, Bryan Toy Tipton of Oklahoma City, OK; sister, Peggy A. (Larry) Beckham of Burlington, IA; brother, Bob (Cheryl) Bonner of West Burlington, IA; grandchildren, Chance T. Tipton of Oklahoma City, OK, and Dakota J. Tipton of Old Bridge, NJ; and several nieces, nephews and cousins.

She was preceded in death by her parents and several aunts and uncles.

Family will receive friends from 10:00 AM until the time of service at 11 AM Friday March 12, 2021 at Prugh~Thielen Funeral Home with Rev. Tamara Wirt officiating. There will be a time of food and fellowship following the service in the Community Room at Prugh~Thielen Funeral Home. Entombment will be in Aspen Grove Cemetery.

Prugh Funeral Service is in care of the arrangements.

In lieu of flowers, a memorial has been established for P.A.W. Animal Shelter in Fort Madison, IA.
