Gladys Louise Hunter, 95, of West Burlington died Saturday, June 23, 2018 at Oakview Nursing Home and Rehabilitation.
Born August 28, 1922 in Red Oak, Iowa she was the daughter of Arch and Clela (McGimsey) Fidler. She married Delbert "Dick" Hunter on September 24, 1939 at Grace United Methodist Church. He preceded her in death July 26, 1996.
Gladys worked for Sylvania Electric and Champion Products. She volunteered for Burlington Medical Center for many years.
She was a member of Grace United Methodist Church, Moose Lodge #587, Eagles Aerie #150 and a lifetime member of the VFW Auxiliary.
She enjoyed going to the casino, playing Bingo, bowling, cooking, baking, canning and sewing.
Survivors include two daughters; Donna (James) Schrader and Carol (Thomas) Boeding both of Burlington; three grandchildren, Dianne Norton (Travis) Little, Tammy Boeding (Mark) Rambow and Joel Boeding; five great grandchildren, Lauryn Rambow, Sean Rambow, Cole Rambow, Alyssa Little and Tyler Little and one sister Pat Reed of Iowa.
She was preceded in death by her parents, husband, three brothers and one sister.
In lieu of flowers, a memorial has been established for Great River Hospice.
