Pearl Evelyn Butherus, 97, of Burlington died 8:00 p.m. Monday, June 18, 2018 at Burlington Care Center.
Born June 22, 1920 in Burlington, Iowa she was the daughter of Carl P. and Myrtle (Atkinson) Schwartz. She married Ora G. "Bud" Butherus on January 21, 1942 in Burlington. He died September 23, 1992.
Pearl was a homemaker.
Survivors include her two children Richard G. (Mary) Butherus and Nancy (Rex) Beetner both of Burlington; grandchildren Richard Tod Butherus, Rebecca Leigh Butherus, Rory William (Louise) Butherus, Chad E. Beetner, Tamara S. Hulett and Daniel J. Beetner; great grandchildren Marcus Butherus, Lilian Butherus, Rafe Butherus, Spencer Beetner, Madison Beetner, Zachary Hulett, Kaylee Hulett and Ethan Beetner; brother Phil Schwartz of Burlington and three nieces.
She was preceded in death by her parents, husband, and one great grandson Matt House.
A memorial has been established for St. Jude Children's' Hospital.
