Jo S. Hildebrand 67 died on Monday July 24, 2017 at home with family. Services will be held at 2:00 PM on Friday July 28, 2017 at Lutheran Church of Hope in West Des Moines.
Jo was born May 10, 1950 in Burlington, IA. She was the daughter of Robert and Marion (Hagie) Stolley. She graduated from Burlington High School and Western Illinois University.
Jo married the love of her life Ben Hildebrand on January 24, 2004 in Burlington, IA. Jo resided in Burlington, Iowa, St. Louis, Missouri and most recently Clive, Iowa. She worked as a HR Benefits Representative at Federal-Mogul in Burlington, Iowa. After moving to the Des Moines, Iowa area she worked as a Loan Documentation Specialist for Wells Fargo. Jo loved being around her family and friends. Her hobbies included playing cards, watching the St. Louis Cardinals, going to her granddaughter’s softball games, and attending services at Lutheran Church of Hope.
Jo is survived by her daughters, Jennifer (John Hannan) Jamison of Grimes and Sarah (Matt) Hawkins of Waukee; brothers, Pete (Billie) Bevis of Des Moines and Robb (Kathy) Bevis of Prior Lake, MN and sister Gale (Ralph) Johnson of New London, IA; three step-children, Dawn (Tim) Tiller of Phoenix, AZ, Lisa (Justin) Sabin of Phoenix, AZ and Gennie (Alex) Garcia of Chicago, IL; and 16 grandchildren. Jo is preceded in death by her husband Ben, her parents Robert and Marion Stolley, and brother Stewart.
