Marjorie H. Schieffer, 99, of Burlington, died at 3:15 a.m. Friday, September 21, 2018 at Great River Klein Center.
Born July 27, 1919 in Burlington, she was the daughter of Edward P. and Ann M. Pfeiffer Schamper. She married William Carl "Bill" Schieffer at St. John Catholic Church on December 26, 1969. He preceded her in death on April 16, 2006.
Marjorie Worked as a bookkeeper for her stepfather Felix Kienlen, and later helped her husband at the Harrison House on Main and Harrison. She was a member of Divine Mercy Parish. She enjoyed collecting Hummels, working Bingo for St. John's and going to Travelogue.
Survivors include brother-in-law Robert "Bob" Schieffer of Keokuk, IA; special nieces, Linda (Tom) Greene and Cindy (Jack) Atteberry, both of Burlington; cousin M. Jean Lees of West Burlington and many nieces and nephews.
She was preceded in death by her parents, husband, one sister, Mary Ann Schamper, and her step-father, Felix Kienlen.
The Graveside funeral service for Mrs. Schieffer will be 10:30 a.m. Tuesday, September 25th at Aspen Grove Cemetery. The Very Rev. Father Marty Goetz will officiate. Friends may call noon-5:00 p.m. Monday, September 24th at Lunning Chapel.
