Thursday evening at the family home at 231 South Fourth street, occurred the death of Mrs. Mary F. Thomas, wife of Mr. W.G. Thomas. Deceased has been troubled for some time with catarrh of the stomach, but her closest friends never thought death was so near at hand. The good mother passed away peacefully, surrounded by all the members of the family. She was of an amiable disposition and to know her was to love and respect her. Her maiden name was Dasher; she was born in Burlington and was in her fiftieth year at the time of her death. Besides the husband five children, four daughters and one son, all residents of this city, are left to mourn her loss. The funeral will take place from the family residence this afternoon at 2 o'clock. Deceased was a member of the National Protective Union.
