Mrs. Mary Ellen Gulick, 84, of Burlington died at 10:55 a.m. Tuesday, December 29, 2015, at her home with Great River Hospice care.
Born May 6, 1931 in Kirkwood, Illinois she was the daughter of William Julius and Elizabeth (Ingle) Poerschmann. On March 18, 1953 she married Howard C. Gulick in Fort Madison. He preceded her in death on May 2, 2013.
Mrs. Gulick was a homemaker. She enjoyed flowers, western movies, traveling and visiting with friends and family. She also enjoyed scenic drives around Burlington.
Survivors include two daughters, Holly Gulick of Burlington and April Gulick of Crystal Lake, Illinois; five sons, Daniel (Marschinda) Gulick, David (Becky) Gulick and Craig (Heather) Nuss all of Burlington, William (Pam) Gulick of Danville and Mike Nuss of Sperry; 21 grandchildren; 19 great grandchildren; and one brother, Fred (June) Poerschmann of South Carolina.
She was preceded in death by her parents, husband, two daughters, Mary Cain and Julia Gulick and one sister, Barbara Poerschmann.
There will be a private family gathering at a later date.

Cremation has been entrusted to Lunning Chapel.
